The delicious wines that come from the Alsina & Sardá vineyard in the heart of the high Penedès are frequently found in some of the best restaurants in Spain. The vineyard produces a dozen or so wines, this 100% Cabernet reserve is our favourite. Made from grapes hand-picked from vines over thirty years old, the wine has a rich, complex flavour with notes of vanilla and nutmeg. It is cherry-dark in colour, has good legs, and a long finish. A perfect accompaniment to fine ham and cheeses that will bring a smile to any cabernet-lover's face.

This tasty red is fermented for twelve months in american oak casks and aged for a minimum of three years. Naturally clarified and unfiltered, the wine is rich in tannins and anthocyanins. It is best decanted.

Alsina and Sardá is known for careful stewardship of its vineyard, boasting a growing process that it very close to organic - pesticide and herbicide use is limited to an absolute minimum through the use of alternative methods.
